Solar & Storage

One focus, done well: rooftop solar and battery storage for industry, business and homes across Bangladesh — from 5 kW to multi-megawatt, on the business model that suits you.

01 · 50 kW to multi-MW

Industrial & commercial rooftop solar

Factory sheds, warehouses and commercial roofs are some of the best solar sites in Bangladesh: large, unshaded and under buildings that use most of their power in daylight.

We design grid-tied plants that cover as much of your daytime load as your roof and structure allow, cutting what you buy from the grid and what you burn in generators.

What's included

  • Bill analysis and load profiling from 12 months of data
  • Structural survey of sheds, purlins and roof sheets before design
  • System size kept within your sanctioned load and 80% of transformer capacity, as the Net Metering Guideline 2025 requires
  • Zero-export or net-metered design, depending on your site
  • Supply, installation, testing and commissioning by one team
02 · 5 kW to 50 kW

Small systems for shops, offices and homes

Solar isn't only for big factories. A 5–50 kW system can take a real bite out of the bills of a shop, office, clinic, school, small workshop or home.

We keep small projects simple: a quick site visit, a clear quote and a tidy installation with minimal disruption.

Options

  • On-grid — lowest cost; saves on your bill in daylight
  • Hybrid — on-grid with a battery for load shedding and evenings
  • Off-grid — for sites with weak or no grid supply
  • Net metering for eligible grid connections
03 · Solar + generator + grid

DG-PV hybrid

Most grid-tied inverters shut down when the grid fails — exactly when your diesel generator starts. A DG-PV controller keeps solar working with the generator.

The controller reads the generator's output in real time and trims solar so the generator never falls below its safe minimum load or receives reverse power. Every unit solar supplies during load shedding is diesel you don't burn.

Why it matters

  • Solar keeps producing through load shedding
  • Protects generator minimum loading and prevents reverse power
  • Works with one or several generators, switching automatically between grid and generator operation
  • Keeps net metering compliant when generators run on site
Our first project, a 400 kWp system for Sajan Polymer Industries Ltd., uses DG-PV control.
04 · Battery energy storage

Battery storage

Batteries turn solar from a daytime-only saving into power you can use when you need it.

We size storage from your actual load profile and outage pattern — not a rule of thumb — so you pay for the capacity you'll use.

What storage can do

  • Keep critical loads running through outages
  • Store midday solar for evening use
  • Reduce generator running hours and fuel costs
  • Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry for safety and long cycle life
05 · Net Metering Guideline 2025

Net metering

Under the Net Metering Guideline 2025, solar you export to the grid offsets the units you import — off-peak first, then peak.

Any net surplus left at the end of each quarterly settlement period is paid at the BERC bulk rate, after a 10% distribution maintenance charge. Because exported units are worth less than the units they replace, we design first for self-consumption.

We handle

  • Application on the Power Division net metering portal
  • SREDA-listed modules, inverters and meters
  • Net meter and solar accounting meter installation
  • Coordination with your utility through to agreement
06 · Distribution

Equipment supply

Need the equipment rather than a full installation? We supply solar modules, inverters, batteries and balance-of-system accessories to installers, contractors and end users.

Everything we supply is chosen for Bangladeshi conditions and for net-metering compliance, with manufacturer warranties handled through us.

What we supply

  • Solar PV modules
  • On-grid, hybrid and off-grid inverters
  • Lithium (LFP) batteries and storage cabinets
  • Mounting structures, cables, protection and monitoring accessories
07 · After handover

Monitoring & maintenance

A solar plant should produce for decades. Dust, loose connections and faulty strings quietly eat into that — unless someone is watching.

O&M services

  • Online monitoring of generation and alarms
  • Scheduled module cleaning suited to local dust and rain
  • Preventive maintenance and thermal inspection
  • Fast fault response and performance reporting
Business models

CapEx, OpEx, ESCO, RESCO or BOO

Every model gets the same engineering. What changes is who invests, who owns the plant and how you pay.

CapEx
Capital expenditure

Buy and own

You pay for the system against project milestones and own it from day one. Every unit of saving is yours.

OpEx
Pay per unit · Solar PPA

Zero upfront investment

We finance, build and maintain the plant. You pay a fixed tariff, below your grid rate, for each unit it generates.

ESCO
Energy service company

Pay from your savings

We invest in the solar project and are repaid from an agreed share of the measured savings on your energy bills.

RESCO
Renewable energy service company

Energy as a service

We build, own, operate and maintain the plant on your site and supply its power under a long-term agreement.

BOO
Build · Own · Operate

We run it for its life

We build and own the plant and operate it for its full life, selling you the power. Nothing sits on your books.

ModelYour upfront costWho owns the plantHow you pay
CapExFull system costYou, from day oneMilestone payments; all savings are yours

FAQ

Common questions

How much roof space do I need?

Roughly 6–7 square metres (about 65–75 sq ft) of shade-free roof per kWp with modern modules, depending on layout and walkways. A 50 kWp system needs around 300–350 m². For industrial sheds, the structure's strength matters as much as the area — we survey both.

How much electricity will a solar system produce?

In Bangladesh a well-installed system typically produces around 3.5–4 units (kWh) per kWp per day averaged over the year — less in the monsoon, more in the dry season. Every proposal we make includes a site-specific estimate.

Will solar work during load shedding?

A standard grid-tied system switches off when the grid goes down, for safety. To keep solar working during outages you need either a DG-PV controller, so solar runs alongside your generator, or battery storage.

Which business model is right for me?

If you have the capital and want the largest long-term saving, CapEx is usually best. If you would rather keep your capital for your core business, OpEx, ESCO, RESCO or BOO let you use solar with no upfront investment. We will compare them for your site in person.

Do I need net metering?

Not always. If your daytime load uses all the solar you produce, a zero-export system is simpler. If you will have surplus — on Fridays and holidays, for example — net metering lets those units offset your bill.
